Summary General Assembly 1st of December, 2025

Dear members of Labyrint,

On the 1st of December, the General Assembly took place during which many different presentations were given. First, a Proposal of Amendments to the Articles of Association was presented, followed by the End Report of the Treasury Committee. Furthermore, both the Advisory Board and the Treasury Committee presented Revised Regulations and the Advisory Board presented their Yearplan. Lastly, a new member of the Treasury Committee was installed. In this blogpost you will find the summary, where the important decisions and updates are described.

Announcements & updates
At the beginning of the General Assembly (G.A), there was room for announcements and updates from the G.A Chairman, the Board, and the committees. The Board announced that there are two people who left their committee, followed by their official uninstallment. Furthermore, they announced that the Committee Competition (Sliding Showdown) will take place in the Labyrint App from now on! Finally, the Board announced that there’s G.A. bingo again! This time, it contains a question to answer which crosses one box of the bingo.

The Advisory Board approved of the Revised Policy of Board 79. The Treasury Committee reported that there are still a few small changes that have to be made before the Revised Budget of Board 79, Revised Rebudget of Board 79, and the Revised Financial Final Report of Board 78 can be approved. 

Finally, all the committees gave updates regarding their activities or products. The All Years Weekend Committee announces that the sign-ups have opened for the trip. The All Years Weekend takes place from January 30th to February 2nd of 2026. The Yearbook Committee will soon choose the theme of the yearbook this year. The location of the Short Studytrip will be revealed on December 9th, and the sign-ups will open on the 12th of December. The Congress Committee announced that they have their Sport Psychology Lecture on December 9th. DeSofa Committee is busy with their first edition of the deSofa. The Party Committee had their first party on November 26th and are busy organizing the next party on February 20th. The Formation Committee has officially started and the Network Committee announced that the Inhouse Day will be moved from December 3rd to February 4th. The Education Committee is busy organizing the content of the next Lecture and the Social Activities Committee organizes the Christmas Dinner on December 19th at restaurant VIP. The Starting Committee organized the Pub Crawl last week and will now work on the Parents Evening that takes place on the 27th of February. The Long Studytrip Committee is busy with preparations for the Long Studytrip. The location reveal will take place on the 16th of January. Finally, the Wellbeing Committee has started with the organization of the Laby Run. 

Proposal of Amendments to the Articles of Association (with an Overview changes and Specification)
A member of the Taskforce “Volgens het boekje” presented the amendments to the articles of association. She explained that they wanted to rewrite the articles of association many years ago to make it more comprehensible. Throughout the years, they encountered some flaws that had to be changed. The articles of association have now finally been corrected and completed and have been checked by a notary. They have been approved by the G.A..

Presentation End Report Treasury Committee 2024-2025
The chairman of the Treasury Committee of last year presented their end report. She talked about how the Advisory Board works and the taskforces they had last year. If you have any questions about the content of this presentation, you can send an email to kascommissie@labyrintleidenl.nl. 

Presentation Revised Treasury Committee Regulations and Changes
A member of the Treasury Committee presented the Revised Treasury Committee Regulations. There have been some changes based on the amendments of the articles of association. It has been approved subject to some changes. 

Presentation Revised Advisory Board Regulations and Changes
A member of the Advisory Board presented the Revised Advisory Board Regulations. Again, there have been some changes based on the amendments of the articles of association. However, a new discussion arose about the process of installing and discharging an acting board in case of the current board drops. The Advisory Board will figure this out and come back to this at the next G.A.. Therefore, de Revised Advisory Board Regulations have not been approved.

The chairman of the Advisory Board of this year presented the Yearplan of the Advisory Board. She explains how the Advisory Board works and what taskforces they will have this year.

Nomination and voting new member Treasury Committee 2025-2026
Bart van Strijen has been approved as a new member of the Treasury Committee of 2025-2026.

Any Other Business (A.O.B.)
The Board announced that from the 1st of January 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences building will close at 20:00 instead of 22:00 on all days except Tuesday.

Do you want to be present at the next General Assembly? Come to the G.A. of February 10th! During this G.A., the half-yearly evaluation report of Board 79 will be presented among other things. It starts at 6:30 PM at FSW and there will be cake and bingo again!

NOTE: This is a Dutch event. However, it is possible to authorise someone online to vote on your behalf during General Assemblies. You can do this via the Labyrint website. Online authorisation can be done until two hours before the General Assembly starts.
