Dear members of Labyrint,
On the 11th of February, the General Assembly took place during which many different presentations were given. First, the Addendum of Board 78 was presented, followed by the Half Yearly Report of Board 79. Furthermore, the Formation Committee presented their Policy and the Treasury Committee presented their Yearplan. In this blogpost you will find the English summary, where the important decisions and updates are described.
Announcements & updates
At the beginning of the General Assembly (G.A), there was room for announcements and updates from the G.A Chairman, the Board, and the committees. The Board installed one new member of the Yearbook Committee and they installed the First Years Weekend Committee. Additionally, the Board announced that there’s G.A. bingo again!
The Treasury Committee reported that there were still two small comments left about the Revised Rebudget of Board 79. But since those comments do not affect the content, the Revised Rebudget is approved.
Finally, all the committees gave updates regarding their activities or products. The All Years Weekend Committee announces that the trip had taken place and was very successful. They have now started on the organisation of the cantus on April 15th. The Yearbook Committee have revealed the Yearbook theme of this year during the Monthly Drinks, which is space! Soon the members will have the opportunity to send in their personal pieces for the Yearbook. The Short Studytrip Committee reported that the trip will almost take place and that almost everything is set! If you want to join, there is still a possibility to sign up. The Congress Committee announced almost everything is set as well for the Congress and that you can buy your tickets now. The deSofa Committee is still busy with their first edition of the deSofa. The Party Committee organises the Big Party on February 20th with the theme ‘Wild West, Beer Fest’! The Formation Committee is revising the application guide and the Network Committee announced that the Inhouse Day was successful and that they’re busy organizing the Alumni Symposium with the theme ‘Burn-out & Resilience’. The Education Committee is working on the Lecture about Forensic Psychology and the Social Activities Committee announces that the ticket sale of the Gala of April 17th has opened! The Starting Committee is busy arranging the Parents Evening, which will take place on February 27th. The location of the Long Studytrip Committee has been revealed in an Instagram Reel. The trip will take place from the 3rd to the 9th of May and will go to Madrid; you can sign-up now! Finally, the Wellbeing Committee is working hard on the Labyrun. It will take place on May 12th and the charity for the run is about Sexual Violence.
Presentation Addendum Board 78 2024-2025
The Chairman of e.t. Board 78 presented the Addendum of Board 78. She explained that the purpose of the Addendum is to discuss things that were not included in the End Report of Board 78. She also highlighted that there was a small mistake about the amount of times that the Board Training Week has taken place in the past. It has been approved by the G.A..
Presentation Half Yearly Report Board 79 2025-2026
The Chairman of Board 79 presented the Half Yearly Report of Board 79. She tells about the progression of many things, like the focal points of this year, the board activities, and promotion. For questions, you can send an email to bestuur@labyrintleiden.nl. The Board answered some questions substantive questions about subjects like the physical summaries and promotion. It has been approved subject to some changes.
Presentation Policy Formation Committee 2025-2026
A member of the Formation Committee presented the Policy of the Formation Committee of 2025-2026. The explained what the Formation Committee does, about their confidentiality obligation and about the application procedure. It has been approved by the G.A..
Presentation Year Plan Treasury Committee 2025-2026
The Chairman of the Treasury Committee presented the Year Plan of this year. He described what the Treasury Committee does and what their plans are for this year. Some substantive questions about a few taskforces were asked and answered. The Chairman also pointed out that the Finances Are Fun will take place on May 11th; it will include an explanation of what the Treasurer of the Board does and how the finances in the Association work in general, and more information will follow soon!
Any Other Business (A.O.B.)
Two people of the G.A. had bingo. They both received a chocolate present!

Do you want to be present at the next General Assembly? Come to the G.A. of March 17th! During this G.A., the new GGD Policy and the Rebudget of Board 79 will be presented among other things. It starts at 6:30 PM at FSW and there will be cake and bingo again!
NOTE: This is a Dutch event. However, it is possible to authorise someone online to vote on your behalf during General Assemblies. You can do this via the Labyrint website. Online authorisation can be done until two hours before the General Assembly starts.
